......hold their shape when pressed against a shape of any kind.
Please be aware that you must protect the neck's finish with
thin paper; the wires will scratch the neck's finish!

This is what our neck's shape looks like,

We can now transfer this outline to some card stock, and cut it out with
scissors.
|
|
Testing on the neck itself, it's easy to see where we must cut some
more in order to get a good, tight fitting template.
